LineSmith Privacy Policy
LineSmith collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising and no tracking. This page explains how the app handles source text, tips, and the links you choose to open.
Scope
This policy applies to the LineSmith for Xcode app on macOS, to its two Xcode source editor extensions (Line and Editor+), and to the pages under leafworkstudio.com that support the app.
LineSmith is published by LeafWork Studio. It is the same App Store record that previously shipped as TextPlus.
Your Code
LineSmith's commands run inside Xcode as source editor extensions. When you invoke a command, macOS hands the extension the text of the file you are editing; the extension changes that text and hands it straight back.
LineSmith does not write that text to its own storage or logs, and it does not transmit it. Your source code never leaves your Mac, and the developer never sees it.
Commands that explicitly copy, cut or paste use your Mac's clipboard only when you invoke them, in the same way an editor does. LineSmith does not transmit clipboard contents.
Tips
LineSmith is free. If you choose to leave a tip, the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store.
The developer receives Apple's ordinary aggregate sales reports, which do not identify your source code or your activity inside LineSmith. LineSmith never sees or asks for your payment details.
The app stores a single value on your Mac recording that you have tipped, so it can keep saying thank you. That value stays on your Mac and is never sent anywhere.
Network Use
The LineSmith host app connects to the App Store to fetch local tip prices and to complete a purchase you start.
The two Xcode extensions are sandboxed with no network access at all.
External Links
LineSmith can open its App Store review page and the LeafWork Studio website when you choose those controls. They open outside LineSmith, in the App Store or your default browser.
No source code or LineSmith preference data is added to those URLs. Like any App Store or website request, the destination may receive ordinary connection information under its own privacy policy.
This website may use analytics to understand page traffic. That is separate from the app, which contains no analytics of any kind.
Children's Privacy
LineSmith is a developer tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Policy Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date.
Since the app collects no data, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
