Cube CFOP Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what Cube CFOP does with information when you use it on your iPhone or iPad. The short version: what you study stays on your device, and the only thing the app sends anywhere is a crash report.
Scope
This policy applies to the Cube CFOP app for iPhone and iPad, distributed on the App Store, and to the pages under leafworkstudio.com that support it. It describes version 7.0 and later.
By using Cube CFOP, you agree to the handling of information described in this policy.
What Stays on Your Device
The algorithms you add or edit, your aliases, notes and setups, your Favorites and Learning lists, your flashcard progress, your quiz and drill records, your study history and your settings are stored on your device, inside the app's own storage. They are not uploaded to us.
Cube CFOP has no account. You do not create one, and there is nothing to sign in to.
Like other app data, this information is part of your device's own backup. If you back up to iCloud, Apple stores that backup under your Apple Account and its own privacy policy; we have no access to it.
Crash Reports
If the app crashes, or fails to read its own storage, it sends a report through Google's Firebase Crashlytics service so that we can find and fix the fault. This is the only information the app sends.
A report describes the state of the app's code at the moment of the failure, together with the app version, the device model, the iOS version and an installation identifier that Firebase generates. That identifier is not your name, your email address or your Apple Account, and we do not use it to identify you.
A report is not a copy of your algorithms, your notes or your study progress. Google processes these reports on our behalf under its own terms, and we use them only to diagnose problems.
What We Do Not Collect
Cube CFOP collects no usage analytics. It does not record which cases you open, how long you study or how you answer.
Cube CFOP contains no advertising and no advertising SDKs, and it does not track you across apps or websites.
We do not sell personal information.
Earlier Versions
Versions of Cube CFOP before 7.0 also used Google's Firebase Analytics to count how the app's features were used. Version 7.0 removed it. Updating the app ends that collection.
The App Store and Apple
Cube CFOP is sold and updated through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase, and we never see your payment details.
Apple may provide us with aggregate, non-identifying sales and crash information through App Store Connect. We use it only to understand demand and fix problems.
The app may ask for an App Store review after you have completed several study sessions. The request is Apple's own system prompt; whether you respond and what you write are between you and Apple.
Support Correspondence
Contact in the app's Settings opens an email addressed to support@leafworkstudio.com with your device model, iOS version and app version already written in it. You can read and change that text before you send it, and nothing is sent unless you send it.
When you email us, we receive the address you write from and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to answer you, and we keep it only as long as needed to handle the request and maintain a support record. You can ask us to delete it.
This Website
The Cube CFOP pages on leafworkstudio.com are static pages that require no login. The site may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page traffic in aggregate, which is separate from the app and never joined to anything in it.
Children's Privacy
Cube CFOP is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13.
The app asks no one for a name, an email address or any other personal detail.
Deleting Your Data
Reset deck, in Flashcard Settings, clears your flashcard progress. Restore Default Algorithms, in Settings, removes the algorithms you added or edited.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.
Crash reports are not tied to your name or account. If you would like us to look into deleting reports from your device, write to us and we will do what the service allows.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date.
